ETA and movement calibres
A calibre is the name of a specific movement (e.g. ETA 2824-2 = a classic Swiss automatic movement; Citizen E111 = a Eco-Drive movement; Miyota 2315 = a Japanese quartz movement). ETA is the large Swiss movement maker in the Swatch Group (Omega, Longines, Certina and others). Citizen makes its own movements in Japan (e.g. the Eco-Drive calibres E111 and B620), Alpina uses AL calibres built on Swiss standard movements, and the Maserati watches have Japanese movements from Miyota and Seiko.
The calibre is listed in the specifications on each item's page.
