Alpina

Alpina: 83 items (83 watches), from DKK 6.195 to DKK 24.695. The watches have diameters of 33–46 mm, automatic movement (57) and quartz movement (26) and water resistance from 3 ATM / 30 metres to 30 ATM / 300 metres. The largest lines are Alpina Alpiner Extreme (32), Alpina Startimer (22), Alpina Seastrong (12) and Alpina Alpiner (6). Alpina is Swiss sports watches from Geneva since 1883: Alpiner Extreme, the Startimer pilot's watches and the Seastrong dive watches – automatic, quartz and solar with sapphire crystal.

Citizen

Citizen: 358 items (358 watches), from DKK 595 to DKK 13.995. The watches have diameters of 22–53 mm, quartz movement (284) and automatic movement (74) and water resistance from 3 ATM / 30 metres to 100 ATM / 1000 metres. The largest lines are Citizen Eco-Drive (122), Citizen Promaster (66), Citizen Elegance (37) and Citizen Super Titanium (29). Citizen is Japanese watches from Tokyo since 1918: Eco-Drive, charged by light, Promaster for water and air, Super Titanium, Tsuyosa and Series 8 – solar, automatic and quartz.

Maserati

Maserati: 247 items (247 watches), from DKK 795 to DKK 5.095. The watches have diameters of 30–46 mm, quartz movement (220) and automatic movement (27) and water resistance from 5 ATM / 50 metres to 20 ATM / 200 metres. The largest lines are Maserati Velocità (39), Maserati Competizione (35), Maserati Attrazione (30) and Maserati Successo (30). Maserati watches are Italian design under licence, made by Morellato: chronographs with a tachymeter scale, three-hand and automatic models – Velocità, Competizione, Sfida, Epoca and Traguardo.

From Soldier to Soldier

From Soldier to Soldier: 78 items (75 pieces of jewellery and 3 watches), from 495 kr. to 1.295 kr. The watches have a quartz movement (3) and water resistance of 5 ATM / 50 metres. The largest series are Oxideret (13), Børstet (10), Fredsdue (10) and Hjerte (10). From Soldier to Soldier is bracelets in braided parachute cord with a clasp shaped like the uniform button, born in the field among Danish soldiers – and on many of them 50 kr. goes to returning soldiers.

Christina Design London

Christina Design London: 573 items (546 pieces of jewellery, 19 watch accessories and 8 watches), from DKK 99 to DKK 1.295 The largest series are Collect (27), Tree Of Life (9), Sparkling Circle (7) and Roots Of A Tree (6). Christina Design London is jewellery in sterling silver and gold-plated silver – earrings, charms, rings and pendants – and the Collect watch, which you put together yourself with elements and straps.

Finding your way around

The catalogue is divided across the brands: all watches, jewellery, watch accessories, men, women and sale. Under watches you will find pages for movement, style, strap, colour and price — e.g. automatic watches, chronographs and dive watches. Each card shows brand, model, price and stock status, and the filters on the page work across brands.

Delivery and service are the same whatever the brand: Delivery in 2-3 working days (7-10 from the remote warehouse), a 99-day right of return and a 2-year statutory warranty.

Automatic, quartz or solar

A quartz watch is powered by a battery and a quartz crystal. It keeps very accurate time, needs nothing day to day and needs a new battery every couple of years. An automatic watch is wound by a rotor that swings when you move your arm. It has no battery, the seconds hand glides instead of jumping, and many people like knowing that it is mechanics that keep it going. On the other hand it is slightly less accurate, and it stops if left for a few days — then you set it and put it on. Solar watches are quartz with a small solar cell under the dial, so the battery is charged by light.

If you are unsure, think about how you use the watch: if you wear it every day and love the mechanics, automatic is a good choice; if you switch between several watches or just want one that always runs, quartz is the easy option. The difference is explained in automatic or quartz.

The right size

The diameter is on every card and on the product page, but it is your wrist that decides what fits. Measure the circumference with a tape measure, just above the bone on the outside, where the watch will sit. As a rule of thumb, around 34–38 mm suits a wrist under 16 cm, 38–42 mm suits 16–18 cm, and 42 mm and up suits a wrist over 18 cm. The distance from lug to lug often matters more than the diameter: if it is longer than your wrist is wide, the lugs stick out over the edge. The thickness decides whether the watch slides under a shirt cuff.

With a bracelet the length can be adjusted by removing links; with a strap you choose the hole. Try the watch at home before you have the bracelet adjusted — once it has been shortened, the 99-day right of return no longer applies, and if you withdraw within 14 days, we deduct the loss in value. What water resistance means

ATM, bar and metres say the same thing, but the figure is a pressure in a laboratory, not a depth you can dive to. As a rule, 3 ATM withstands rain and splashes from a hand basin, 5 ATM a shower, 10 ATM swimming and snorkelling, and from 20 ATM the watch can be used for diving. A leather strap can handle neither bathing nor swimming, whatever the watch itself can do. If the watch is going in the water, look for dive watches or sports watches with a rubber strap or bracelet, and read about care in how to look after your watch.

Delivery, returns and complaints

Delivery takes 2–3 working days from our own stock and 7–10 working days from our remote stock, counted from your order — the product page says where it ships from. We confirm your order within 24 hours. We only deliver in Denmark. Shipping costs 39 DKK, and the parcel is insured for the item's full value; in Kredsen, shipping in Denmark is free from Silver on orders over 799 DKK. The watch comes in a box, new and unused. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal and a 99-day return right from the day you receive the item — the 14 days fall within the 99. Start in the returns portal. You pay the return shipping yourself; if you use our insured return label, we deduct 39 DKK from the amount. From Gold in Kredsen it is free. The return right applies to items without signs of use, in the box with everything that came with it and any links that have been removed; if you withdraw within the 14 days and the item shows signs of use, we deduct the loss in value. If there is a fault, you have a 2-year right to complain under the Danish Sale of Goods Act — it is mandatory throughout the EU and applies to everything you buy from us. Open the case in the complaints portal before you send the watch — then you get a label, we pay shipping both ways, and we write to you once the watch has been examined. Measure your wrist just above the bone, where the watch will sit. Under 16 cm suits around 34–38 mm, 16–18 cm around 38–42 mm and over 18 cm 42 mm and up. The diameter is on every card and on the product page.
