How to read a watch's reference number

The reference number is the watch's exact identity: Citizen's look like NB6012-18L — the first part is model and movement, the ending tells you about the case and dial (L stands for blue, for example), so two variants of the same model each have their own number. Alpina's begin with AL- and the movement (e.g. AL-525NW4S26), and Maserati's with R88 and digits (e.g. R8873640001). The number is shown on the item's page with us, on the box and on the back of the watch (often engraved).

If you have a number from somewhere else, it is the same watch if the number is the same; a different colour or strap gives a different number.

If you have a question about a particular watch, ask Nord, our assistant, at the bottom right — or write to us.
