How to adjust a bracelet
A steel bracelet is delivered at full length and adjusted by removing links. On most, the links are held by small pins or screws that a watchmaker removes in five minutes — or you can do it yourself with a small tool (a thin pin punch and a hammer, or a screwdriver if there are screws). Remove the same number of links on each side of the clasp so the watch sits in the middle of your wrist. Many clasps also have micro-adjustment: a few millimetres of fine-tuning in the clasp itself, so it fits in both summer and winter.
We send the bracelet at full length with all its links and do not remove links ourselves (Nordur has no workshop). Keep the links you remove: if the watch is returned, they must go back in the box — and they are good to have if you sell it later. If the bracelet is too short, extra links can usually be ordered for the model — write to us via contact with the reference number.
If you have a question about a particular watch, ask Nord, our assistant, at the bottom right — or write to us.
